The 2010 Prague Winter Festival is the 38th consecutive festival and each year the festival has gone from strength to strength. Prague opera and ballet is world famous, boasting some of the finest opera performances in some of the most stunning opera houses in Europe. The festival runs for five days from the 02 January to the 07 January and features many opportunities for you to enjoy opera, ballet and classical music performances in the Estates Theatre, The Prague State Opera, The National Theatre and the famous Dvorak Hall of the Prague Rudolfinum.

During the day, you can enjoy some fine performances by the Bambini di Praga, the famous Black Light Theatre of Prague, the Hradistan Dulcimer Band or opt to enjoy the city on one of our Prague excursions. Prague is a beautiful city, often called “The City of a Hundred Spires“. The city’s historical centre was designated a UNESCO World Cultural heritage site in 1992, emphasising the importance of Prague’s cultural sights. Prague’s city centre comprises four areas, spanning both banks of the Vltava River. On one side: the Old Town with the Old Town Square; the New Town with Wenceslas Square; and the Jewish Quarter. On the other side: the Lesser Quarter leads up to Prague Castle, where visitors can see the palatial rooms like the Vladislav Hall, St. Vitus Cathedral and St.George’s Basilica. An epic history has made Prague one of the most beautiful cities in the world
